Spectrum of Love

Purpose of an uttered word is: "to be comprehended". Comprehension triggers emotion. Deeper the cognitive grasp, stronger the emotion. 

Powerful words are driven to semantic satiation due to the daily wear and tear and sometimes intentional overloading by the media. The word Love tops that list, closely followed by ego, soul, gratitude and trust. This over usage and smearing with varied meaning leads to shallow comprehension resulting in dim emotion.

The word Love has suffered the maximum saturation due to its common usage, as superlative of like. 
"I love this coffee"
"I love you"
"I love my children"
"I love to travel"
"I love how it feels"
In all these statements, the word love has a very different meaning. It has mutated to a point that original essense is fully forgotten, neither triggering the emotion nor infecting the listener.

What is the opposite of Love? 
The robotic answer is “Hate”. But if you dig a little deeper, you’ll realize thats not true. We often hate certain aspects of the same things that we love. So, hate is just another independent expression, it can very well sit along with love. So is fear, desire, pride. They are all distinct emotions.
Love is when we acknowledge something is more important than ourself
Such anti-narcissistic tendencies bloom when we adore or admire what we cognized. Exploration and wide range of experiences help discover, stumble upon and cultivate love within.

Love is an emotion. Biology binds its with corresponding hormones. Not just infamous oxytocin and the lust related harmones, but several other haormones can be released when the emotion of love sets in. It depends on how the individual finds an expression. The purpose of educating self and social upliftment is to refine those expressions. 

Love has full access to the whole spectrum of expressions. Depending on the evolutionary stage of the lover, it finds its expression.
No Love
Vindictive, envious and cynical attitude is a barren land that cannot germinate Love.

Draining Love
At it’s lowest level, Love is expressed as apathy, guilt and shame. When you are yearning for that something important, facing a failure, unable to face that loved entity; these are all your conscience related. lack of self-love and undetermined self-value drives people into these human invented deterrents. These are the biggest energy drainers of human consciousness.

A little better, but still energy-draining expressions are fear, desire and pride. The energy drain can be contagious and may affect that loved entity as well.
- When you fear for the safety of that object of affection, there is love behind it.
- When you desire something and all your attempts to attract and gain attention, is backed by love. When you lust over someone, it is still an expression of love, but a crude energy-draining expression.
- Love is expressed as pride when trying to seek admiration from that object of affection.

Energy Neutral Love
Expression of Love attains energy neutrality, when it is expressed as; care, adore and admiration. The expelled energy directly inflames the receiver. 
- When you care to go out of your way to comfort an entity (car, dog, person, phone, shoe, et al)
- Showing respect and praising others
is accompanied by briefly droping your ego (self-importance). During such brief moment, an enormous burden of constantly carrying the ego and switching personas is suspended curtailing the corresponding dissipation of energy. A great sense of relief is experienced.

+EV love
Energy gain occurs when love is expressed as bond and trust. Subject doesn’t lose energy anymore, but the receiver briefly plugs into infinite source of energy. 

When you establish a bond with that loved one, it clinches that you are there. Your presence eases their agitation, enables to be their best version, enables them to fantasize freely and bends their time-space continuum.

Trust is yet another abraded word from overuse. Expecting someone to behave in a certain way in a random situation, is sheerly an expectation, profiling and stereo-typing. It has nothing to do with trust. Trust establishes and exists only between the two entitites involved. There is no room for a third variable in trust.
"I trusted you with my car!"
"How could you steal my money? i trusted you."
"I trust your gut feeling"
are all vague statements made without understanding the crux of the word “trust”. All these statements brings in a 3rd variable. A daughter taking that leep of faith and jumping in deep water, because the father is there, is trust. If the daughter eyes for life-jacket, the third variable, there is no room for trust.

People evolve in trusting environment. If you are not seeking evolution, trusting environment is not your essential need. For all others, trusting environment serves as a launchpad.

If you can trust a person, it is the most beneficial expression of love for the receiver. It enables them to take risks and attempt reach goals that they would typically dodge.

The higest form of expressing love is devotion. Subject directly plugs into the infinite source of energy.
Trust plugs that trusted other, into infinite source of energy. Devotion plugs self directly
Totally devoting to the object to a point, that subject (you) vanishes. This is totally egoless (self-identity) state. A deserving object of devotion and innate devoting tendency makes such a magical phenomenon possible. Don't fool yourself with uttering prayers and performing rituals as devotion. Unless your self-identity vanish, the devotion hasn't crystallized.

Again, What is opposite of love? 
It is pretend love. It is true for all emotions. All emotions fork from singularity. Courage is not opposite of fear. True courage vs pretended courage. True fear vs feigning fear. So, opposite of any emotion is the pretense of the same emotion. 

Every emotion is short-lived. harmone release cannot sustain more than few seconds. The uttered “i love you” has expired already. Hence, the innate urge to verbalize it again and again.

Beyond Love
Authenticity, in emotion is necessary to break the cycles of repeating life patterns. Decades of studying and practicing manners has overtaken the authenticity in expression. Only fools are fooled by forged demeanors. Authentic beings can sense the lacking in spurious smile from yards away.

So it doesn't matter what your expression is, it could be the uncouth jealousy or selfless care; strive to express it as authentically as possible. That authenticity will level you up automatically.

Authenticity uplifts your vibrating frequency.
Authenticity stands above all emotions and their forms of expression. 
Authenticity compels you to respond spontaneously, not react from conditioned habits.

To level up within the matrix or to attempt exiting the matrix, authenticity is the neo.

Promotion

 

We have diverse perspectives, marching towards myriad goals. Despite that, one common phenomena ingrained in all of us is; our strive for evolution.
  • access to resources
  • societal stature
  • physical strength
  • freedom
We strive to continously improve upon these four aspects, irrespective of our diverse paths. How do we measure the progress? One reliable unit is: our influence.

Influence is the measure of impact exerted by our act/word/thought. When your gesture can mobilize an army, a word can disposition billions of dollars in the stock market and your sheer thought can transform the life of a person, consider youself highly influential.

In some way, every contibuting member of the society, continues to exert their influence on others and impacted by the influence of others. Influence is a tridirectional force, like a drone's flight path.

Reach - How far our influence can reach?
In the space-time continuum, how far your influence transcends, the distance in miles; and how long the impact amortizes, in the unit of time,  decides the length of your influence.

Spread - How wide does the influence sustain?
How many people does your decision affect? how much resources does it mobilize? how many times you can repeat the same without dissipating the intensity of your influence are all the measure of how wide you influence can disperse.

Depth - How deep our influence can penetrate?
How deep your actions affect someone, does your words trigger deeper emotions, if your penetrating eyes create a psychological shift in others, all these measure the depth of your influence.

By improving the influence in any one of these aspects, we already promoted ourselves. The designation (social stature), paycheck (financial disposition) and access to resources are bound to catch-up. This is perpetual growth, that cannot be shaken by seasonal storms.

If by chance, one gets promoted and the role doesn't reflect the responsibilites and the deemed influence is lacking, the botching and eventual dissatifaction is inevitable. If you seek promotion for a bigger paycheck, but your influence doesn't justify it, you'll be on top of the list, when the institution decides to downsize.

Instead of striving for the byproducts like designation, monetary benefits and societal endorsements, rechannel those energies into introspection; secluding yourself for few hours a week, uninfluenced by the cicumstances, trying to understanding what you actually need and focusing on developing either the reach, spread or depth of your influence. Thus, success, promotion, elevation in stature and the evolution naturally follows.

Evolution

உடம்பினை முன்னம் இழுக்கென் றிருந்தேன்

“All beings are divine”. Very hard to accept, isn’t it?

Like electricity passing through only conductive materials, the energy that powers the living beings, lets call it life-energy, does not light-up anything that is not divine. Hence, it is indisputable that there is at least a trace of divinity in all living beings. The conductivity of life-energy is divinity.

There are adulterants that builds up around our divine core in sedimentary layers that tarnish our divineness. Thus, making us human. Accumulation of these grout eventually grinds our conductivity to zero, ultimately leading to the death.

After enormous research and several miles of inner journey, the enlightened masters enlisted three such adulterants that clog around our divine core and dragging us down.

Karma (reaction debt) - curses, blessings, convictions, desires and yearnings accumulated since we were a single-cell organism. Every physical and mental movement, continously dissipate and accumulate an impending reaction debt, commonly termed as karmic debt. This debt has been growing continuously with subsequent lifetimes and lifeforms.

Maya (illusions) - custom made illusionary stages that we walk, characters that come and go and the circumstances that drag us along are all summed-up as maya (illusions).

Ego (identity) - the morphing identity that we partake to involve ourselves into this illusionary setup, so that we are well directed toward settling our karmic debts.

Each life-form is like waking up everyday, to embark on settling a set of karmic debts. To do so, a fully immersed experience that bubbles up our emotions like a roller-coster is needed. The circumstances, people, memories, curiosities and instincts lead us towards the stage (maya) that best suit us. And of course, we need an identity (ego) to partake and indulge thoroughly without even an iota of detachment.

All this is perfectly setup to resolve, appease or fulfill the needs of a being, including ourselves. The biggest caveat here is not to accumulate a reactive karma. Our ego entangles deeply and starts reacting in selfish and scornful ways accumulating more karma than that was settled.

Devoid of these adulterants, we’ll be formless (no ego), senseless (no maya) and purposeless (no karma). Thus, all the movement seizes. Along with it, our evolution also comes to a grinding halt. 

Hence, to evolve, one must succumb to at least one of the adulterants: karma, maya & ego

live: righteous & intense (karma shrinks) 
Until the karmic debt drops below a certain threshold, We don’t really have access to maneuver the other two ladders. The ladders of worship and meditation.
Thus, settling more karmic debt while containing the accumulation of the reactive debts is the first step of evolution. This is possible by treading the life situation with progressively hightened awareness. 
  1. carefully stepping into situations, ensuring it doesn’t cause harm to self or others, now or later.
  2. after entering a situation, drop the guard and experiencing the experience thoroughly so that there is no traces left-behind that can cause any cravings in future.
  3. being immensely grateful for whatsoever that manifested such an opulent backlot to custom serve a specific experience to us.
Such lived life experience where a karmic debt is settled but none new accumulated is called Dharma.

measure of progress: the unexpected hinderances start evading, turbulence in emotional state diminish, outcomes turn favourable often. 

The pitfall is the indulgence and craving swooping as reaction karma through the backdoor and glorifying the self-image as the options of experience expand. When the circumstances and outcomes turn against, it is a reliable sign to introspect and recourse.

worship: dilating the maya (ego shrinks)
When the karmic debt drops below the threshold, most readily available option is to succumb to the ladder of maya (illusions).
This is the path of emotion as the hightened emotional states leading to enriched illusions. To make room for the rapidly evolving illusions, karma and ego starts shrinking rapidly. Fully ripened and ready to drop illusionary state is where the ego is shrunk to bare-minimum and ready to vaporize. This state is very comparable to being mentally impaired as the mind secretes intense psychedelic harmones. This state is termed as;
  • அனுபூதி (anuboodhi) by Indian sages
  • فناء (fanā) by sufi mystics
  • 悟り(satori) by zen monks
When a person's 'I' is negated from existence, then what remains? 
- Rumi (about fanā)

உரையவிழ உணர்வவிழ உளமவிழ உயிரவிழ
உளபடியை உணருமவர் அநுபூதி ஆனதுவும்
- அருணகிரிநாதர்

Translation:
dropping the sheaths of personalities, 
treading beyond the harmonal thirst, 
leaping over the psyche,
and beyond the lifeforce,
is the sense of anuboodhi experienced 
- by Aruna-giri-naadhar, an indian sage

Lukewarm devotion neither leads to such states nor any tranformation. Love, devotion, conviction and yearning mindlessly, so that the whole being is totally immersed in the emotion leads to such experience. Rare unexplored harmones are secreted that transform the DNA sequeunce of the emoter. This leads to the progressive evolution by opening up the wormholes to higher dimensions. When such evolved being's day-to-day activities entangle with any organized society, their compassion and love exhibit itself as miracles in the form of healing, manifesting animate substances from thin air and other super human abilities.

measure of progress: shrinking ego (identity) is the key measure, i.e., loss of interest in hoarding, disowning material things, foresaking entitlements, impervious to accolades and even neglecting the personal needs. 

The common pitfall is becoming delusional. If the object of devotion is not a qualified one, being mislead and engrossed in futile rituals is imminent. Along with shrinking self-image, if the person doesn't exhibit love, compassion, child-like nature; a divine intervention is needed to rectify the course.

meditation: inflating ego (illusions shrink)
This path of realization is successively debunking all the illusions that we come across. Hence, the practitioner succumbs to the ego to evolve.
Disenchantment cannot occur as long as the senses and thoughts are exploring the outward illusory world. Turning them inward and iteratively disconnecting from the illusions, successively peal the layers of realization. As a byproduct of this realization, the knowledge expands and wisdom sprouts. Along with it comes the expanse of ego, which grows and ripens. When it is fully ripe and ready for harvest, an attained master's grace is needed to harvest it and grant the enlightenment. Devoid of this grace, the evolution of this meditator hits a dead-end in a static self-glorified identity.

There are ample documentation from enlightened masters that can serve as a guide map, but none of them would make sense until one embarks this journey of disenchantment through meditation. This path is an egoistic path and hence it is no surprise to have witnessed a heightened sense of self-respect and self-esteem, often accompanied by self-sustenant living and the dignitary recognition of such yogis, monks, saints and sages.

measure of progress: disillusionment. The lure of all the drama of the world news, entertainement, societal changes and family situations loosens its grip. Either the meditator becomes progressively disinterested from these or can see through the absolute reasons and ultimate consequeunces, thus taking away all the excitement out of it.

The common pitfall is the bloated up ego. The sense of conceit, pride and arrogance accompanied by a total disdain for others. In such divergence, a guru intervention is needed to re-emphasis that the only purpose of all the wisdom is to eventually attain the ultimate devotion leading to liberation.
  • When we live righteously and experience entirely without leaving any traces, karma shrinks.
  • When the karma shrinks, possibilty of worship opens the door.
  • When the shell of ego prevents any form of external devotion, there is inner exploration, the way of meditation.
Evolution is gaining access to more dimensions. Our consciousness and perpective are entrapped within the three dimensions. Until we can behold a 3D object in its entirety, we havn't gained access to the 4th dimension yet.
